Start from a recipe: a new app begins as one of the example apps

New app now has Start from: Blank, or one of the seven example apps as a recipe (product reviews with moderation, a wishlist, a product quiz, a product tagger, Notion sync, bundles with a Shopify Function, or the backend of a Shop Mini). The app starts with the recipe's files, a Shopify recipe's scopes are filled in on the connect step, and the setup page lists what's left to do and the keys the app reads. ib-apps create --recipe <id> and recipe on POST /v1/apps do the same. Everything stays editable.

A Shopify recipe lies over the starter, replacing files of the same path and dropping the starter's storefront block, since every example brings its own blocks or needs none. A web recipe replaces the starter outright, keeping the coding-agent guidance. The recipe's models are set up as any schema change is, so its records and API are ready as the app is created.
