Reviews check the store before a pull request removes merchant content
When a pull request removes or renames a section, block, setting id or alternate template, Auditor reads the store's published theme and says what merchants would lose: "12 products use product.bundle". Only Shopify theme repositories with a store chosen are checked.
The review reads the merchant content on the store the repository's theme previews use: the templates and section groups that place a removed section or block, the placements that set a removed setting, and the products, collections and pages assigned to a removed alternate template. Each finding lists where, with counts and the values that would be lost.
Liquid a pull request adds that reads a metafield is checked against the store's metafield definitions, and one with no definition is reported.
The store is read only for what the pull request removes, and only ever read. A store that cannot be reached is skipped with a note, never failing the review. Repositories that are not Shopify themes are not checked at all, and nothing is billed.
